Purest of the pure - our "Grand Cru Coldwater Prawns"

The premium prawns that are used in this special gourmet-edition are from a specially selected fishing ground north of Svalbard. The prawns are caught in the winter months of January until begin of March at depths of 650-750 metres, at the very edge of the ice – in the cleanest and most crystal clear arctic-waters on our planet.

Fishing in these waters is very challenging because the air temperature can drop to minus 45 degrees Celsius. This almost untouched area requires advanced fishing using specialized equipment to bring these exquisite prawns in unique gourmet-quality up to the surface. The boats are specially equipped for this type of fishing and they are the only vessels that fish in this area. The unique climate means that the prawns in this area are of unparalleled quality in terms of purity, colour, consistency, sweetness and taste.

Once peeled, the prawns are packed by hand in Norway and delivered in a specially-produced exclusive packaging.
